Our research is discovering fundamental mechanisms of DNA repair and genome stability maintenance that have the potential to inform new therapeutic strategies for a range of cancers and human developmental syndromes.

Our Mission

The Clarke Laboratory aims to improve therapeutic outcomes in cancer patients by leveraging our understanding of fundamental mechanisms of DNA repair.

Our Strategy

Our lab combines cutting-edge techniques across genetics, biochemistry, and molecular biology with clinical collaborations to push the boundaries of discovery science. Ultimately, we hope to contribute to the development of better-tolerated and more effective therapies for cancer patients.

Our Values

We pursue robust research in a supportive and collaborative environment. We recognize that the best scientific outcomes are driven by diverse perspectives and ideas, and actively welcome team members from a wide range of backgrounds, cultures, and experiences.

Our Laboratory

The Clarke Lab is part of the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Boston University School of Medicine. We are located at 670 Albany Street in the picturesque South End neighborhood of Boston, MA.

Boston is a charming city in the northeastern United States, known for its rich historical legacy and vibrant intellectual atmosphere. World-class academic institutions including Harvard, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and Boston University, coupled with the biotech innovation of nearby Kendall Square in Cambridge, form an intellectual ecosystem that fosters creativity and produces an unrivaled educational environment.
